Visser visit

This week our friends for almost 40 years, Larry and Marilyn from McBain, MI came for a 3 day visit. They came ready to hike and see as much of this beautiful countryside as possible. We were able to show them a lot of our favorite hikes while they were here.

The first day, Sunday afternoon, we started with the "Rehoboth Peak" hike

The next day in the morning we decided to climb Pyramid

Monday afternoon we drove to McGaffey in the Cibola National Forest to do two more hikes. First we did the Strawberry Canyon trail where we saw these Alligator Juniper trees.

and Ponderosa pines

From there we went to Milk Ranch Canyon to hike

Their last day here was a beautiful New Mexico blue sky day. We decided that they were ready to do "The Crevice" which begins by going up a very steep incline.

Then you walk the trail on top of the red rocks

Until you get to the opening of the crevice where you begin to descend back down to the bottom through a crevice in the rock.

Walking back to the beginning on the sand dunes that fill in between the red rocks.

We had a wonderful time helping our friends experience the beauty here.
